原文

Since the fourth Hot Brain conference on climate change and neurological disorders was held in London, UK, on May 12, 2026, London has experienced five heatwaves. Globally, the human cost of excess heat is clear: 546 000 deaths each year are due to extreme heat. The need to understand the effects of climate change on people with neurological disorders has never been greater. This year's meeting, organised jointly by University College London (UCL) and The Lancet Neurology, again brought together speakers from across disciplines, this time focusing on the mechanisms underlying the effects of climate change on neurological health.
