[Comment] The role of product safety and liability law in governing digital determinants of health
Digital technologies are transforming societal structures, but this transformation and its public health impacts occur unevenly across the global population.1 In a new Lancet Series about the digital determinants of health (DDoH), the authors propose a coordinated and systemic approach for examining and responding to the challenges that digitalisation presents for global health and wellbeing.2–4 Social media use by young people emerges in the Series as an important starting point for examining the DDoH.
