Methodology · worked example, guidelines & full notes
Full six-vein diameters (incl. right II) + parallel reflux.
When to use
Organising diameter profiles and reflux in PeVD/PCS imaging reports; aligning literature-grade wording in clinic or vascular/IR discussions. Always combine with symptoms and treatment indications; not an embolisation indication by itself.
How it works
Map each measured vein to I / I/II / II / II/III / III / IV (or gap) with mutually exclusive bands. Overall = maximum among measured contributions. Any gap without a heavier clear grade → needs manual confirmation; do not invent a grade. Reflux is not in max(); a clear mismatch with the expected reflux band is flagged yellow.
Key points
- Full six-vein diameters (incl. right II) + parallel reflux.
- Mutually exclusive bands, then heaviest; no IV→I first-hit scan.
- Gap → manual confirmation; reflux does not change grade.
- Label: research / literature classification (doi:10.3390/jcm10040646).
